Simulated game shooting and clay pigeon shooting days

Huntroyde Estate has been in the custodianship of the Starkie family for over 400 years. The 6500 acre estate is run on traditional lines, blending the best of the past with the new to give the Estate a vibrancy of its own for today.

The Simulated Game Shoot is one part of this vibrancy and is at the heart of the estate situated on the 360 acre Home Farm, which still run by the Family. The woods around the clay pigeon shoot have been laid out in the past for game shooting but now form the backdrop to your time on the clay pigeon shoot.

We aim to offer the shooter a taste of game shooting without a closed season or for those who prefer without anything being harmed. The variety of targets we can offer will allow shooters to test themselves at targets that seem to have a life of their own, to a true sporting style of clay pigeon target

The Simulated Game shoot started out in 2004 as a charity day, we still support the Cancer Research UK with a shoot once a year to raise money, with all the profits from the day going to charity, and any profits from the sales of cartridges throughout the year also being donated to the charity. So far raising over £

9500.00 by 2009. So a big thank you to all who have supported us. If you would like to know when the next Charity day is please drop us an email.

The Simulated Game shoot is one of a number of enterprises run by the Starkie Family along with Huntroyde Home Farm breeding both, Pedigree and commercial cattle, as well as a flock of over 800 sheep. Huntroyde Estate is also home to Tumulus Field Archery Club.
